-Vijay Rajendran, Team Excluto

We look at everything in a funnel, right? At the top of the funnel, the workflow is getting bigger and larger. Once the company becomes a portfolio company, we enter what we call the ‘grinding phase.’ There’s a lot of work involved over the next three, five, or even ten years, where you’re helping the company scale, mentoring them throughout the process. Eventually, the final phase is the ‘mining’ part, where the company either undergoes an IPO or a merger and acquisition (M&A).
